The
Committee of the South Wales Classic Car Club would like to extend their thanks
to the members of your club who kindly gave of their time to help set up the
Show field on the Saturday prior to our Car Show on Sunday 9th May.
Your help was much appreciated.
We trust that members who attended the show on the Sunday enjoyed their time at
the Show. We were certainly blessed with good weather again! Hope to see you
again next year.
Any
comments you have about the show would be appreciated to allow us to make any
improvements.

BAC has now lost the use of the St.Athan venue due to a rule change within the WAG to do with liability insurance and for them to issue us with a permit for each event would not be financially viable for them.

The BAC Awards night took place at The Pheasant, Pen-y-Fai on Saturday 10th April, many congratulations to the following championship winners:-

The MSA have prepared a manifesto for presentation to government seeking authority for the use of what the MSA is referring to as Temporary Suspension Orders, enabling public roads to be closed by local authorities and suspension of the Road Traffic Act during closure, so that Rallies or Hilllcimbs may be held. Before, this has required an Act of Parliament for each.
What they are seeking would place mainland UK on a level footing with the Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Ireland (both north & south) and Continental Europe, where that authority is already in place.
BAC Awards Night will be taking place at The Pheasant, Pen-y-Fai on Saturday 10th April from 6:30pm onwards. There is a new function room with a small bar in the room and you can choose your food off the menu on the night. There will be a new menu released from next week - have a look at The Pheasant website.
However we do need to confirm numbers as soon as possible, so please see the forum to confirm your place.

Event Change of Date: The Autotest scheduled to take place at St.Athan on Saturday 27th March has now been to moved to Sunday 28th March. As previously we will be starting at 12pm and must finish at 4pm.
As you might be aware the gate to the venue has to be manned or locked we cannot leave it open. Therefore the gates will be open at the following times; 10:30 to 11:30 only. Remember hot food supplied by "Truly Scrumptious" will be available at this event.

IMPORTANT: Re St.Athan Event on Sunday 14th March There is a change to the start and finish time for this event, we will be starting at 12pm and must finish at 4pm.
As you might be aware the gate to the venue has to be manned or locked we cannot leave it open.
Therefore the gates will be open at the following times; 10:30 to 11:30 only. Remeber hot food will be available at this event. -
First Karting Event of 2010 will take place at Llandow on Thursday 18th March starting at 6pm

HOT NEWS As a trial at the next two St.Athan Autotests we will have a small catering van on site selling hot food, snacks and drinks - see the menu here.

IMPORTANT: Re St.Athan Event on Sunday 14th February There are two Autotests taking place, one starting at 10:30 and the other at 13:30, as you might be aware the gate to the venue has to be manned or locked we cannot leave it open. Therefore the gates will be open at the following times;
09:00 to 10:00 and 12:00 to 13:00
We will also check gate on an hourly basis on the hour, so 11:00, 14:00, 15:00 etc. Please appreciate that organisers of the event will be at the venue much earlier than 09:00 to setup the autotest, and the timing equipment etc. Hope you can make it ! -
NEW EVENT ! A quiz has been organised by Hannah Luke and will be taking place at the Barley Mow on Tuesday 16th February starting at 9:30pm. Please come along and join in the fun.

The first event to be held at St.Athan went very well and all those that attended enjoyed themselves very much, it is indeed a great venue with plenty of potential. If you missed this event then the next event at St.Athan is on Sunday 14th February, with two Autotests, one starting at 10:30am and the other at 1:30pm - please do come along to this excellent venue.
